Spring Fever

I've got spring fever. bad. Listening to Rascal Flatts doesn't really help my urge for it to be summer haha.

Just like last semester, as i was anxious for Christmas Break, now i am thrilled to be out in the warmth, living carefree for a couple months, maybe taking some time down at the baseball fields, or on the trails. Anything sounds fine!

I won't complain about school however, i am learning a lot of valuable information and am excited to figure out what i'm going to do with my future in schooling. It just comes in heavy loads sometimes, like today, and it becomes rather frustrating. In fact, i'm taking my American Heritage test in about an hour. I just got out of Art History and i'm in a sentimental mood (that always happens after that class), but i really love art History. Here's a little Geek moment for you, i'm gonna put up some awesome pictures we just went over! haha, i love them!

This picture was painted in the neoclassicalism time period and it depicts three men going to fight for the country. What i love about this work by David is that it reminds me of missionaries. How these young 18/19 year old young men have no doubt about the church but they are putting forth their hands and submitting themselves to protecting and sharing the gospel. you can see in the background the young wives mourning, as it is hard for families to send off their sons. But it's for a good and righteous cause.

This work by Canaletto is absolutely beautiful as well.. this just makes me want to go to Italy SO bad! -- I will make it there one day, hopefully not too far into the future.
