Goin Country~

I have been so into country music lately. I think it's because American Idol has been getting into me. Or it's because this type of music is so expressive, it seems to always explain how i am feeling. I also love country music because it helps you realize what's most important in life: such as friends, family, and religion. I used to not like country music very much, but lately it's my favorite thing. I am getting obsessed! No, it's not that bad, but i am into it. So here are some of my favorite songs and artists:

St. George, ye-aahh!!!

Last weekend we went down to St. George for mom's birthday and race. It was such a fun vacation! We had a lot of fun with each other and did so many exciting things! :) Mom did great in her race and we had a great time celebrating it at Golden Corral. We also had some funny experiences that we will never forget! The only thing missing was the 90 degree weather that we had hoped for... it wasn't very hot. Oh well, it was an awesome trip!

Summeritis (the inflammation of summer...)

Oh my goodness, i have a disease.. it's called summeritis. I can't stand it any longer, I want summer to be here! I am spending my days procrastinating my homework as i play outside and lazy around the house. i am sooo ready for school to be done! This week just needs to be over, all the tests done, all the stress, over. It's time for summer. it's time for a break. It's time for the sun to come out and shine, fry us all to death. It's time for water fights. It's time for stress free. It's time to get tan. It's time to get freckles on my face. It's time for nice warm nights with friends. it's time for vacations. It's time for long days at the pool. It's time to read what i actually want to. It's time to sleep in... IT'S TIME FOR SUMMER ALREADY!!!

But I did!!!

Well, today has been actually pretty interesting for me... and at times i wondered, "could it get any worse!" but i actually thought today was unique, and quite fun. So here are the strange events of my day... just don't laugh.. :)


1. I slipped on a banana
- yes, i actually slipped on it and fell, kind of hurt my ankle. It's like in the movies where they show that bananas are slippery, but you never really think you could actually slip on a banana, but i did.


2. I passed out in Med Anatomy
- a pathologist came to class, and brought just about every internal piece of the human body you could think of. After holding the stomach, heart, liver, kidney, fetus, placenta, uterus, and many other things, i wasn't feeling so great. I left the circle, and hurried to my desk, laid down, and was out. No one else had a hard time, But i did. 


3. I hit my teacher with my pencil
- while sitting at my desk in the back of the room, i was playing with the side part of my mechanical pencil, i was lifting it up with my thumb and POP, it flew into the air, and hit my teacher... oops. I never want to hit my teachers with my pencil, but i did. 


4. Lost my gum, found it, and ate it
- while unwrapping my last piece of gum, it fell under the desk next to me, under some kids shoe. I didn't want to just reach under there during class to find it, so i ask for it back. He handed it to me and i put it back in my mouth. No one eats gum off the floor, but i did. 


It's just been one of those days when nothing goes your way, but when does it ever? haha. I think that when you look at life in a positive way, you see that it was made to have fun, mistakes were made to be laughed at, and moments made to be cherished. I didn't think that i would have such a wonderful day today, But i did. 

The best volleyball tournament in the history of the world.. EVER!

So this weekend was sadly the last tournament with my Viper team. And it was by far the best one!!!! Our first games were at 8 in the morning and we were done by 10 and had to wait until 5:30 until our next game. So, we all went to my house and had breakfast, watched Remember the Titans and then had lunch. We went back up to our tournament and played one last game. We won!!! So, we ended off the season with a first place in our division. Man, it was the greatest, yet saddest moment ever. I will miss my buddies from the team, but winning was awesome! I'll never forget how much fun i had!

Junior Prom!!

This weekend was prom! One of the greatest kids at our school, Jordan Haines asked me. I had such a wonderful time. First, we had our date on Friday night which was one of the funnest dates i have ever been on. We went to Comedy Sports in Provo and had a blast there! We had a group of 20 people so we pretty much filled the whole middle section of this place. The comedians were hilarious and we laughed the entire time. People probably wondered why we were so weird, but if you take a group of crazy, unpredictable people, what can you expect? We were probably especially obnoxious because of the variety of "laughs" we have in our group. But it was all worth while! We then went to Cold Stone and got a butt-load of ice cream, which we barely finished off. (well, i didn't finish mine, but i tried!) We had a great time laughing and goofing off for about an hour. Good times, good times.....

Saturday was the continued version of our date, which i didn't think could get any better, but it did! Hannah Berlin came over, and i did her hair and had a great time talking and getting all excited for the dance (and congrats to her, because she was nominated at our Prom Queen this year!! Yay, Hannah!)This is a picture after our hair is done!!!!



Then, around 7 i was picked up for the dance! Jordan looked so nice in his suit, and did a great job of matching me, even though he had never seen my dress before. The corsage he gave me was beautiful. I loved it! Mom, took some pictures, and then we were off! The car rides were always the greatest. We had Hannah, Ashlyn, Bryson, Nate, and of course me and Jordan. I can't think of a crazier group of people..

We drove down to Provo and got our pictures taken, they were beautiful! I cannot wait to get them! :) We also got some porta-potty pictures...yuck! I wonder who had that idea??? hahaha. Then we drove to my favorite restaurant ever! Macaroni Grill... mmmm... so yummy! I got feda chini alfredo. So good! I was smart and got the kids menu one. And i was one of the only ones who actually finished. We were all stuffed, but what better way to work off all those calories than go to the dance!!! The actual dance was the best ever! We went crazy and worked off a sweat! "Iris" was the theme song of the dance, and also one of my favorite songs ever! Jordan was a wonderful date! He was so funny and crazy and also very kind to me! He opened my doors, and escorted me from the dance. Thanks to Jordan for putting together such a great date! He's awesome and such a great friend to me! I will never forget this date because it was by far one of the best i have ever been on!
